MEGAN FAITH

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

This website is run by Megan Faith ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the site collects, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

The short version

  • If you sign up for letters, we keep your email address so we can send them. That's the only personal information we ask you for.
  • We don't use analytics, ad trackers, or tracking cookies, and we don't track whether you open our emails or click their links.
  • We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
  • Every letter has an unsubscribe link. Using it deletes your email from our list.

What we collect

When you sign up for letters

We store your email address and the date and time you signed up. Each time we send a letter, we also keep a record of whether it reached your address or failed, so we can fix delivery problems.

When you visit the site

Like every website, ours can't reach you without your device sending some technical details, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you asked for. Our hosting provider uses these to deliver pages and protect the site, and may keep them in short-lived server logs. We don't use them to identify you or build a profile of you.

The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends your IP address and browser details to Google when a page loads. Google describes how it handles this in its privacy policy.

If you try to sign in to the admin area

The site has a private sign-in page for the people who run it. To stop people guessing passwords, we record a failed sign-in attempt as a scrambled code made from the IP address, never the address itself. These records are deleted after a day.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, phone number, address, or payment details. We don't run analytics or advertising scripts, and we don't put tracking pixels or tracked links in our emails.

How we use it

  • To send you letters about new music, tour dates, and other news from Megan Faith, which you asked for when you signed up.
  • To keep the site and the mailing list working and secure, for example by fixing failed deliveries and blocking password guessing.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as honoring unsubscribe requests.

We won't use your email for anything else, and we won't add you to anyone else's list.

Who helps us run the site

A few companies process information for us so the site can work. They may only use it to provide their service to us:

  • Vercel hosts the website (privacy policy).
  • Supabase stores the mailing list and the site's music catalog (privacy policy).
  • Our email delivery provider sends the letters. It receives your email address and the letter's contents.
  • Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, as described above.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the site. If the site or the mailing list ever changes hands, we'll tell subscribers first, and you can unsubscribe before anything moves.

We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are used in U.S. state privacy laws such as California's, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

Visitors get no cookies from this site. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for the people who manage the site. It is required for the admin area to work, and it isn't used for tracking.

How long we keep it

  • Your email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, we delete it from the mailing list and from our records of past letters.
  • Failed sign-in records: one day.
  • Hosting logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of any letter. It takes effect right away.

You can also email us at [Privacy contact email] to:

  • ask what information we have about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct your email address;
  • have your information deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, for example, you can object to or restrict how we use your information and complain to your local data protection authority. In California and some other U.S. states, you can ask what we've collected and have it deleted, and we won't treat you differently for asking. We'll answer within 30 days, and may need to confirm the request came from you, usually by replying from the address in question.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: we send letters because you agreed to receive them (your consent), and you can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing. We keep the site secure and working because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.

Where your information is stored

Our service providers store and process information in the United States and possibly other countries, which may have different data protection laws from where you live. Where the law requires it, they use recognized safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, when moving data between countries.

Keeping it safe

The mailing list sits in a database that only the site's own server can reach. The connection to the site is encrypted, and only the people who run the site can sign in to see the list. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you're under 13, please don't sign up. If you believe a child has given us their email address, let us know and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to places like Instagram, TikTok, and music streaming services. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn't cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
